Ship Selection Tips
For Beginners
Start with the Mosquito. Its balanced stats and forgiving handling make it perfect for learning the game mechanics.
Campaign Missions
The Mule and Vector are hired ships for specific mission types. You'll fly them when accepting missions that require their specialized capabilities.
Quick Play
In Quick Play mode, all three ships are available and selected randomly, giving you practice with different flight characteristics.
Ship Ownership & Usage
Campaign Mode: You own and fly the Mosquito for trading and station travel. When you accept missions requiring specialized capabilities (heavy cargo or speed), you'll hire the Mule or Vector for that specific mission.
Physics Note: Ship mass affects landing physics. Heavier ships (like the Mule with cargo) require more thrust to decelerate and are more challenging to land precisely. The Thrust-to-Weight (T/W) ratio indicates how responsive a ship feels - higher is more agile.
